BIG BROTHER bosses put afro-haired Mo Mohamed in the house KNOWING he savagely attacked a police officer, the News of the World can reveal.

He bit the cop in a scuffle outside a court and was forced to do community service.

We can reveal chiefs also knew the 23-year-old Somalian had served another community service sentence BEFORE—after getting in a fight on his first day at university over alleged racism. That is a worry for Channel 4 bosses who are already concerned that the house is dividing into two camps along racial lines.

They are desperate to avoid a race row like the one which featured Jade Goody and Shilpa Shetty in the celebrity version.

Mo, a toy demonstrator, admitted biting the officer’s finger following a case about the murder of his cousin in High Wycombe, Bucks. A Big Brother source said: “It was a time of enormous grief and Mo reacted badly to the officer.

“He has been one of the most gentle housemates and wants to win the prize money so he can help provide for his family, who are Somalian refugees.”

The insider also revealed Mo’s background was behind the university incident for which he got 280 hours community service.

The source told us: “He got into the fight on the first day and there were other occasions when he’dget drunk and call people racist.“

BB bosses fear Mo is aligning himself in one group with bullying big-mouth Alexandra De-Gale, 23, and Sylvia Barrie, 21, who is originally from Sierra Leone.

And they reckon a RIVAL GROUP is forming consisting of Jennifer Clark, 22, Rex Newmark, 24, and 20-year-old Luke Marsden.

A top Channel 4 exec said: “The worry is that Mo could flip out if things continue to be so heated.”

A C4 spokesman said: “We were aware of Mohamed’s past which was dealt with appropriately and therefore did not prevent him from becoming a housemate.”
