A Change?

So, whilst walking to college today ( a rare siiiiiiite, truth be told they're kicking me out) , I was thinking to myself as you do, can the hoods really change. As I admired my reflection bouncing off the passing shop windows, I stared lovingly at my; all white Vans Sk8 Hi's, my grey wrangler jeans (yes they are wrangler's dont hate, this pair in particular are dope), My Uniqlo crewneck, My MHI varsity and my Medicom x MHI Fabrick Backpack....awww it was a sight...which was then broken in turn by the view of the uneducated.
I thought to myself can they actually change their appearance. When we do tell them, "stop wearing tracksuits and joggers...what are you 5? Put on some jeans." They do put on a pair of jeans, but daaaamn they go and get the most hideous pair of denims ever..faded out joints, low quality, cheap denim, faded like a motherfucker, bootcuts, graphics everywhere on the jeans, rips everywhere...market jeans...you know I'm telling the truth. So to a certain extent with denim...I think a change will take a long period of time.
Then I thought footwear wise....truth be told I've been cussed for wearing Vans, Puma & the certain nike trainers I have. Why? Because they're gay apparently, the attention to detail, the use of fabric and materials, the brand and the limitation....and because some of them have colour. For real one dude once asked me "why did you buy them purple shits, should have gone to footlocker and got you some Adidas Superstar II's them shits are in style"....the purple shits by the way where Adidas Gazelle OP's...but he had a point...in style...nah that's not me I do me. So it's a thing where some people might change and some might not. Some people need to be told by their peers whats cool and whats not, an obvious example of this are; the big rise in Air Forces around 2001-2004, the big rise in Converses 2005-current and now the big rise in Vans 2006-current...next up I wont be able to buy Jordans...oh nah that shit's already started.
