but what if i'm a goth or something and i see a t-shirt i like on hypebeast (for example) and buy it...does that make me a loser cos i never used to dress like that before? does any particular group of people have a monopoly on wearing certain clothing? and if you aren't in that cool group of 'true heads' then you're a loser?
when i buy a t-shirt maybe i don't care about the backstory or history of it. maybe i just want to buy a nice t-shirt and the one with the star wars design on it looked like fun.
i totally understand what you're saying but i think there is a danger of some people being labelled 'faggot bitches' or 'losers' just because they're not 'true heads' and that doesn't really seem fair :(
and at the same time, i'm sure there are also certain so-called 'true heads' who DO actually buy this t-shirt or these jeans or this pair of kicks because they are cool or limited edition not because they love them from the bottom of their hearts. it's like they always have to be one step ahead of everyone else and they use certain brands to do this.
